Battle Of The Bands Puts Teens On Stage

Are you a member of a band just waiting to be discovered? Your big chance may be coming up. The Fifth Annual Battle of the Bands will take place at Riverfront Park on Aug. 23.

To compete all members of your band must be in either junior high or high school. Bands must audition for a spot in the battle.

There are two ways to enter. Live auditions will be held June 25 at North Central High School (call 625-6440 today for an audition time) or submit a cassette or VHS tape to the Youth Department, 6th floor-City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., Spokane, WA 99201.

Prizes will be awarded, so don’t miss this great opportunity to play for Spokane. For more information call 625-6440.

Find out how to make yourself irresistible to potential employers. Sign up for the Teen Employment Skills Workshop to be held June 26 from 3-5 p.m. at the Libby Teen Center, 2900 E. First, Room 138. The workshop is open to teens ages 13-18. Cost is $5.
