Multiple Gun Wounds Killed Twin Sisters

Associated Press

Twin sisters found slain in their home died from multiple gunshot wounds, the Pierce County medical examiner’s office said.

The bodies of Sarah Warmbo and Charity Warmbo, 22, were found Friday morning in their mobile home 10 miles west of Gig Harbor.

The gunshot wounds were on the women’s upper bodies, but investigators did not describe the exact locations on Saturday.

Sheriff’s investigators still were looking Sunday for Robert Meyer, 25, an ex-boyfriend of Sarah Warmbo and father of her 2-year-old son John. The boy was found wandering in the yard after the slayings.

Sheriff’s spokesman Curt Benson described Meyer as a “person of interest” but declined to call him a suspect. Investigators want to question him.

Benson said Meyer lives in LaCrosse, Wash., with his parents. He also has lived in the Port Orchard, Wash., area.

In LaCrosse, Meyer’s father said his son had been in the Puget Sound area on Friday but he doesn’t believe Meyer was involved in the killings.

“I don’t believe he’s done anything,” the father said, adding that when he heard the two women had been killed, he was stunned.

Benson said investigators have received numerous tips and are pursuing all leads.
