From Staff And Wire Reports

Drug investigators found more than 240 pounds of marijuana in a north Spokane storage unit rented to a man accused last week of importing the drug from Mexico.

Officers from the Spokane Regional Drug Task Force on Wednesday found 11 bales of pot weighing 242 pounds in a North Side storage unit rented by 43-year-old Terry L. Hicks. The estimated street value of the marijuana is $290,000.

Last week, the task force seized more than 150 pounds of pot at Hicks’s North Market furniture refinishing shop, the Magic Strip. Marijuana netted in that raid had an estimated street value of $210,000.

Hicks, who first told investigators he was Levi Boyd Williams, remains in the Spokane County Jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. His bail has been set at $500,000. , DataTimes
