Out Like A Rabbit

The Bugs Bunny postage stamp issued last month could become the top-selling commemorative of 1997 and the all-time best-seller depicting a fictional character, the U.S. Postal Service said Thursday. Spokesman Barry Ziehl said the service will print an additional 100 million Bugs stamps in order to meet shortages in post offices across the country. That will bring the bunny’s total to 378 million stamps. Other top sellers have been the Elvis Presley stamp at 500 million and the Marilyn Monroe commemorative at 400 million.
