Murderer Gets Wish For A Firing Squad

A man who confessed to sexually assaulting and murdering three girls and a woman got the death sentence he wanted Friday and chose the firing squad.

Roberto Arguelles, 35, has spent all but three years of his adult life behind bars.

“I would elect to be executed by firing squad,” if possible without a hood, Arguelles said after he was sentenced by Judge David Young. Utah law gives the condemned the right to choose between firing squad and lethal injection.
