A teenager was arrested Wednesday after threatening a staff member of the Washington juvenile sex offender facility on Craig Road.
The 16-year-old boy had just returned from a court appearance when he started pounding on a door in the facility. When a staff member checked on him, the boy swung a piece of broken glass and then fled.
Two Spokane County sheriff’s deputies caught up with the boy near the facility and took him into custody without a struggle.
He was booked with second-degree assault.
