‘Mama Drama’ Gets Second In Contest

The Spokane Civic Theatre’s production of “Mama Drama” won second place in the American Association of Community Theatre’s national competition in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Saturday.

The Civic’s five-woman troupe also won an award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance. The Civic was competing against nine other regional winners from around the country.

The winning play was “Smoke on the Mountain,” by the Mobile (Ala.) Theatre Guild.
