Barkley Announces Return

Charles Barkley has ended any doubt he will play at least another season with the Houston Rockets.

“I definitely will be back next season,” Barkley said. “I made the decision within the past week or so.”

Barkley’s comment came as no surprise. He had said as early as June 11 that he was 99 percent sure he would return.

Michael Jordan of the NBA champion Chicago Bulls signed an agreement with CBS SportsLine that will put him on the World Wide Web for 10 years.

Under terms of the contract, from which Jordan reportedly could earn $10 million in addition to an undisclosed advance cash bonus, he will answer e-mail, conduct interviews on a monthly basis, appear in radio and TV commercials and provide exclusive content for CBS SportsLine and his online fan club.
