Hope Artist’s Watercolor To Be Displayed In Boise

Dorothy Modafferi, a Hope artist, has had her painting, “White Wildflowers,” accepted in the 18th annual Idaho Watercolor Society Juried Exhibition to be displayed at the Boise Cascade Headquarters in Boise.

Modafferi, whose painting was selected from 186 entries, has paintings on display locally at Northwest Artisans Gallery in Sandpoint.

Fred Anderson, a member of St. Pius Parish and Knights of Columbus Council No. 11623, was recognized with a plaque as the 1997 Idaho State Knight of the Year at the Knight’s Convention held recently in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Anderson, who is the first Knight of the Year from a Coeur d’Alene council, was chosen for making tremendous contributions to the Idaho Knights of Columbus.

The St. Pius Knights Council 11623 also received the state award for service to the Idaho disabled.

The Gary Sonnen Family of Coeur d’Alene received a plaque for representing the Family of the Year at the convention.
