British Inmates Turn Sex Evidence Into Porn

Compiled From Wire Services

Distributing sexual assault victims’ statements, pictures and medical reports as pornography - a common practice in British prisons - will become a crime if new legislation is approved.

The bill has been passed by the House of Commons with widespread support and should easily pass the House of Lords.

There is currently no law preventing pornographers from using sexual assault evidence to develop their products. Prisoners have apparently been getting the material from their lawyers or prison officials.

“Material of this sort has been used as pornography and passed around in jail,” said Baroness Byford, introducing the bill in the House of Lords. “These practices are evil.”
