Fugitive Arrested In Killing Of Cabbie
A fugitive charged in the 1993 shooting death of a fellow cabdriver has been arrested in Texas, authorities said.
Jatinder Singh Ahluwalia, 41, will not fight extradition from Port Arthur, Texas, said Dan Donohoe, spokesman for the King County prosecutor’s office.
Ahluwalia was arrested last week by FBI agents.
He is charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of Gurjant Pal, 33. Prosecutors contend Ahluwalia shot Pal several days after they argued over a potential passenger who wanted to be driven to Wenatchee from downtown Seattle - a $110 fare.
Pal was shot once in the back of the head and in the shoulder.
