Liz Taylor Leaves Hospital After Seizure

Compiled From Wire Services

Elizabeth Taylor left the hospital Saturday, a week after being admitted for a mild seizure, a hospital spokesman said.

Taylor, 65, was in the hospital for a week. Test results were negative but the actress chose to remain hospitalized.

“Whatever the problem was … there never was a repeat of the episode,” said Ron Wise, a spokesman for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

She was released from the hospital about 3 p.m., Wise said.

Doctors removed a golfball-sized benign tumor from her brain on Feb. 20. The two-time Academy Award-winner left the hospital for her Bel-Air home six days later but returned on March 1 after suffering the seizure, described as a common occurrence after brain surgery.
