A man convicted of multiple sex crimes against children was released last week and is now living in downtown Spokane. James Wesley Twiggs is a level III sex offender and a high risk to offend again, police said.

Twiggs was convicted of molesting a 12-year-old boy. He took indecent liberties with an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old. He’s been convicted of assault, destruction of property, attempted vehicle theft and drunken driving, according to police.

Twiggs gets to know his victims, winning them over with alcohol, police said. He isn’t allowed near children as a condition of his release.

Twiggs is 39 years old; white; 5 feet 10 inches tall; weighs 160 pounds; and has brown hair and brown eyes. He has a spider tattoo on his ankle and a tiger tattoo on his left upper arm.
