Boys Allegedly Steal Another’s Report Card

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two boys, ages 15 and 17, remained in custody Monday after they allegedly swiped another boy’s school progress report.

A 14-year-old boy from Lakes Middle School told Coeur d’Alene police that he went to Safeway last Friday to pick up some items.

Inside, he spotted two teenagers near the beer coolers, according to a police report. The two boys began following the younger youth and eventually approached him, asking if he had any money.

“Yeah, or I wouldn’t be here,” the 14-year-old boy said.

When the younger boy left the store, the two teenagers followed him. The younger boy jumped on his bike and tried to get away from the teenagers.

But the two teenagers caught up with him when the boy wrecked his bike in the gravel.

“Don’t say anything ‘cause I’ve got a gun,” one of the teens told the younger boy.

They then reached into the 14-year-old’s pocket and took off with his progress report.

After the boy called police, officers found two youths matching the descriptions.

The boy identified them as the ones who had taken his report card, according to the police report. , DataTimes
