‘Timberlake’ Name Of New High School

“Timberlake” will be the name of the new junior/senior high school to be built in Spirit Lake.

The Lakeland School District board approved the name on Monday.

The school colors will be navy blue, gold and white. Its mascot will be the the Siberian white tiger.

Suggestions for the school name, colors and mascot were generated from a survey of students and the community. The final recommendations came from a transition team of parents, students and board members.

Timberlake school, approved by voters in October, is expected to open in the fall of 1998.
