Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Rules of Stain Removal:

Get to the stain as soon as possible. The longer it sets, the harder it is to get out.

Work at the stain slowly. It takes time to remove some stains. Allow the cleaner time to act.

Some stains are stubborn and you may need to repeat the stain-removal steps several times.

To make stain removal easier for everyone, I have created two pamphlets. One is “Quick Stain-Removal Hints for Clothing” and the other is “Carpet and Household Stain-Removal Hints.” They are both packed with great hints on easy ways of dealing with all kinds of stains. To receive both, please send $4 and a long, self-addressed, stamped (78 cents) envelope to: Heloise/Stains 1-2, PO Box 795001, San Antonio TX 78279-5001. - Heloise:
