“JELLY - Spread it” is the theme of this weekend’s Catholic Youth Celebration at Gonzaga Prep.
JELLY is an acronym for Jesus Eternally Lives Loving You. The convention, which draws high school students from as far as Seattle and Canada, will feature Bishop William Skylstad of the Spokane Catholic Diocese.
Workshops include “What’s the Secret to Healthy Relationships Between a Man and a Woman?”; “Youth Culture and Violence”; “We Just Like the Beat! Do Words Really Matter?”; “I am a Single Teen Parent - the Realities,” and “Peer Pressure: A Challenge at Any Age.”
Registration, which begins at 6 this evening, is $45 at the door and includes lunch on Saturday, a T-shirt, and admission to Saturday night’s dance.
All participants must have written permission from an adult to attend the conference. Adult chaperones are welcome.
