Wilma Ellen Pearson Colfax, Wash.

Graveside memorial service for Wilma Ellen Pearson, 74, will be at 2 p.m. today at Moscow (Idaho) City Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Pearson, who died Thursday, was born in Palouse, Wash.

She graduated from Moscow High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress in Troy, Idaho.

Mrs. Pearson moved to Colfax in 1970 and worked as a certified nurses aide at Palouse Care Center.

She was a member of the Colfax Eagles Lodge.

Mrs. Pearson is survived by eight daughters, Sandra Pearson and Jackie Colyar, both of Colfax, Kathy Thomason of Kennewick, Beverly Russell of Walla Walla, Mary Lewis of Garfield, Wash., Penny Owens of Chilaquin, Ore., Carol Applegate of Gillette, Wyo., and Sharon Montgomery of Pullman; two sons, Steven Pearson of Lacey, Wash., and Charles Montgomery of Pullman; a brother, Edward Laherty of Milwaukie, Ore.; two sisters, Lorna Goddard of Clarkston, Wash., and Virginia Harris of West Valley City, Utah; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Colfax Volunteer Fire Department.

Amalia ‘Molly’ Meyers Spokane

Funeral Mass for Amalia A. “Molly” Meyers will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1503 W. Dean. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Meyers, who died Friday, was 84.

She was born in Boise and graduated from high school there.

She was a graduate of Spokane Community College’s first class of licensed practical nurses.

She had lived in Spokane for 64 years and worked as a nurse.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Altar Society, the Brotherhood of Friends Club, and the Elks and Moose lodges.

Her husband of 58 years, Richard Meyers, died in 1992.

She is survived by two sons, Jon Meyers of Anacortes, Wash., and Nick Meyers of Spokane; two daughters, Phillis Elliott of Port Angeles, Wash., and MaryJo Lantz of Spokane; 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Edna Mae Conway Las Vegas, Nev.

Graveside service for Edna Mae Conway, a former Coulee Dam, Wash., resident, will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Conway, who died Friday, was born in Phillipsburg, Mont.

She graduated from Missoula High School, attended business college in Oakland, Calif., and then married John Conway in 1933.

She went to work for the Bureau of Reclamation at the beginning of World War II. In 1957 she went to work for the Bureau of Indian Affairs at the Colville Indian Agency in Nespelem, Wash., and retired in 1964.

Mrs. Conway was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She moved to Las Vegas in 1989 to be close to her daughter.

Her husband died in 1985.

Mrs. Conway is survived by a daughter, Vicki O’Keefe of Las Vegas; a son, Dennis Conway of Waitsburg, Wash.; two sisters, Minnie Kraus of Beaverton, Ore., and Helen Leeburg of Tacoma; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rachel Everest Spokane

Memorial service for Rachel Jane Everest, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Riplinger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Everest, who was born in Grangeville, Idaho, died Friday.

She attended the University of Idaho and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.

Mrs. Everest married Hiram Everest in 1935 and worked as a clerk for the Idaho House of Representatives. She later worked with her husband in various businesses, including a large wheat farm near Grangeville.

In 1952 they moved to Spokane where she was involved in the operation of H.A. Everest Co., a real estate development and sales organization.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Barbara Sather and Peggy Parker Viall; a son, Bradley Everest; a sister, Wilma Shinnick; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or Hospice of Spokane.

Alice Thompson Tensed, Idaho

No service will be held for Alice Lavonne Thompson, 73, at her request. Kramer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thompson, who was born in Castle Rock, Wash., died Thursday.

Her family moved to the Plummer/ Worley, Idaho, area when she was young. She graduated from Tekoa (Wash.) High School.

In 1943 she married Lawrence Thompson in Kent, Wash., and lived in Renton, Wash.

Mrs. Thompson moved to Sanders, Idaho, in the late 1970s and to Tensed in 1982.

She had worked as a waitress and for Boeing in Seattle and drove a school bus for the Plummer School District for several years.

Survivors include a daughter, Jean Johnson of Kent; two brothers, Ardell “Murph” Meredith of Post Falls and Elwood Meredith of Norfolk, Neb.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Millie Rotchford Spokane

Funeral Mass for Millie O. Rotchford, 95, will be at noon today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Private burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Rotchford, who died Friday, was born in Rathdrum, Idaho.

She and her husband, John, were in the real estate and insurance business for many years in the Spokane area.

Her husband of 62 years died in 1982.

Mrs. Rotchford is survived by two sons, John Rotchford Jr. and Mark Rotchford Sr.; a daughter, Jeanne Shank; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Betty White Spokane

Service for Betty Jane White, 73, will be at 2 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Private burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mrs. White, who died Friday, was a lifetime Spokane resident and a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Marge Simpson and Betty Nolan, both of Spokane, and Barbara Rosenthal of Westport, Wash.; a son, Frank White of Spokane; a brother and a sister, Richard Matson and Joyce Wyatt, both of Spokane; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Hazel Chatman Spokane

Visitation for Hazel Chatman, 80, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral HomeSouth. Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Chatman, who died Wednesday, was born in Pinebluff, Ark.

She lived in Spokane for 31 years and was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, John Chatman; a daughter, Vince Henry of San Bernardino, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Henrietta Blackege of San Diego; two stepsons, James and William Chatman, both of Los Angeles; two sisters, Juanita Brewer and Addie Lee Hunter, both of Chicago; six grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pearl Hines Spokane

Service for Pearl E. Hines, 84, was Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial was at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hines, a 56-year Spokane resident, died Thursday.

She was born in Fremont, Neb.

She graduated from Cheney Normal School and received a teaching certificate from Lewiston Normal School. She taught in Nordman and Samuels, Idaho.

Mrs. Hines was a homemaker and a member of the Gold Star Mothers.

Her husband of 40 years, Leslie Hines Jr., died in 1976.

She is survived by a son, Duane Hines, and a daughter, Arlene Caferro, both of Spokane; a sister, Sylvia Arnold and a brother, Roland Cook; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Heart Association.

William Hooper Spokane

No service will be held for William L. Hooper, 77, at his request. HennesseySmith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hooper, who died Thursday, was born in Hooper, Wash. He worked as a rancher and as a foreman on a sheep ranch.

He had lived in Spokane for 30 years.

Mr. Hooper served in the Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Maxine Hooper; three sons, William and David Hooper, both of Medical Lake, and Tom Hooper of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a daughter, Shurleen Hooper of Spokane; four stepchildren and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Louise Henderson Spokane

A private memorial service was held for Louise C. Henderson, 79.

Mrs. Henderson, who was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., died Friday.

She graduated from Vassar School of Nursing in Poughkeepsie and New York University.

She served as an Army nurse during World War II and was a school nurse for School District 81. After she retired, she volunteered at Sheridan Elementary for several years.

She had lived in Spokane for more than 33 years and was a member of the Lilac City Caravaners.

Her husband of 47 years, Walter Henderson, died in 1995.

She is survived by a son, Paul Henderson of Kennewick; a daughter, Karen Semarad of Spokane; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission.

Marie Price Spokane

Service for Marie M. Price, 82, is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pines Cemetery.

Mrs. Price, who died Thursday, was born in Connell, Wash.

She was a 26-year Spokane resident and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Don Price; three sons, Wayne Moreland of Spokane, Kenton Moreland of Lander, Wyo., Jim Moreland of Eureka, Calif.; a stepson, William Benson of Spokane; a daughter, Julia Ciesielski of Rosalia, Wash.; a brother, Clifford Wrenchley of Pasco; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Donald Locher Spokane

Funeral Mass for Donald R. Locher, 53, is planned for 11 a.m. today at Mary Queen Catholic Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Locher, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Thursday.

He graduated from North Central High School. He worked as a glazier for Amsbury Glass and then operated Prefab Transit Co.

Mr. Locher is survived by two daughters, Dannette and Doreen Locher, both of Spokane; two sisters, Barbara Spencer and Marilyn Knapp, both of Deer Park, Wash.; a brother, Raymond Locher of Deer Park; and two grandsons.

Quintilla Williams Hayden Lake

Memorial service for Quintilla Williams, 94, will be held later. Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Williams, who was born in Missouri, died Friday.

She lived in Missouri and Casper, Wyo., before moving to Spokane in 1939. She had homes in Hayden Lake, Idaho, and California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, in 1986.

Survivors include a son, Neal Williams of Spokane; a daughter, Peggy Felton of Hayden Lake; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Kootenai Humane Society.

Marvin ‘Jack’ Mobley Spokane

Visitation for Marvin D. “Jack” Mobley, 62, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Service will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mr. Mobley, who died Saturday, was born in Westminster, Md.

He retired from the Air Force after 20 years and served in the Vietnam War. He worked for Key Tronic for 11 years and lived in Spokane for 26 years.

He was active with the Boy Scouts for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Donna; a son, Kenneth of Spokane; two sisters, Twila and Gean; and five grandchildren.

Agnes ‘Angie’ Willett Spokane

Memorial service for Agnes Alfhild Elizabeth “Angie” Willett, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Riplinger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Willett, who was born in Kewanee, Ill., died Friday.

She had lived in Spokane for 43 years and was a homemaker.

Her husband Donald “Cookie” Willett, died in 1991. Mrs. Willett is survived by two sons, Keith Willett of Kansas City, Mo., and Steven Willett of Nine Mile Falls; a daughter, Janis Willett of Seattle; a sister, Edith Carlson of Spokane; and three grandchildren.
