Tennessee Upsets Uconn Notre Dame, Old Dominion Also Advance

There will be no perfection for UConn.

The defending champion Volunteers stunned the unbeaten Connecticut Huskies 91-81 Monday night to win the NCAA Midwest Regional. Tennessee avenged a 72-57 loss to Connecticut on Jan. 5, and will play East Regional champion Notre Dame in Cincinnati on Friday.

For the first time, the Fighting Irish made the women’s Final Four as they beat George Washington 62-52 in the East Regional.
