Marinovich Arrested

Compiled From Wire Services

Former Los Angeles Raiders and Southern California quarterback Todd Marinovich has found trouble again.

Marinovich spent Monday night in jail after deputies found a marijuana plant and other drug paraphernalia in his home, authorities said. Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Keith Brown said Marinovich, 27, was arrested for investigation of cultivation of marijuana and possession of narcotics.

Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Ron Wilkerson said Marinovich was released on bail.

Marinovich had apparently called 911 when a friend became unconscious after using an unknown opiate, Brown said.

While paramedics treated the friend, deputies looking around Marinovich’s house found prescription medication not in Marinovich’s name, a marijuana plant, a bag of marijuana and a syringe, Brown said.
