Principal Chosen For Middle School

The principal of Canfield Middle School will become principal of Coeur d’Alene’s new middle school when it opens in the fall of 1998.

Jim Lien’s appointment was approved Monday night by the Coeur d’Alene School Board.

Lien joined the Canfield staff as a teacher in 1980. He was promoted to vice principal in 1989, and principal in 1991.

Dick Fargo, now an assistant principal at Lakes Middle School, will hold that position at the new middle school.
