Letters To The Editor

Sgt. Grafton sets outstanding example

I would like to publicly thank Staff Sgt. Arthur Grafton for his unselfish kindness and heroic efforts on I-90 one snowy and icy morning recently.

After I was involved in a car accident, Sgt. Grafton stopped to see if he could help. He went down the freeway and placed warning flares for the oncoming motorists.

I told him to leave so his car wouldn’t be hit, but he wanted to make sure all the people in the car accidents were OK.

Meanwhile, his car did get hit.

He maintained composure and helped anyone who needed help.

He had a great calming influence and definitely kept things in control. He certainly did refresh my feelings about good people!

What an enlightenment he is to life! And it didn’t surprise me he was on his way to donate some time to a project for Habitat for Humanity. That, too, speaks to his character.

Thanks, Sgt. Grafton. You are one of man’s best advertisements. JoAnne Nelson Cheney
