With Francis Ford Coppola celebrating the 25th anniversary of his “Godfather” masterpiece, you’d be forgiven for wondering whether there’s need for another mob movie. And you’d especially wonder if the director of “Four Weddings and a Funeral” would have the ability to pull one off. But Mike Newell has done so with “Donnie Brasco.” Newell has come up with a gritty piece of work that features the best acting that Johnny Depp and Al Pacino have done in recent memory.
