Morrison Wins Baker

Brendan Morrison, Michigan’s center and captain, got the next best thing to the national title that eluded the Wolverines when he was announced as winner of the Hobey Baker Memorial Award for the nation’s top college hockey player.

Morrison, from Vancouver, British Columbia, is a two-time All-American and was a finalist for the award twice before. He led the nation in regular-season scoring with 26 goals and 52 assists this year and set school records for career points (261) and assists (164).
