Two Boys, 4 And 10, Hit By Car

A car driven by a Spokane teenager struck two boys, sending one to a hospital with severe head injuries late Friday.

Angelo Reed, 4, was in critical condition at Sacred Heart Medical Center after he was hit by a car driven by 16-year-old Brian Charbonneau about 5:15 p.m.

Timothy Asuncion, 10, also was hit and suffered minor injuries.

Charbonneau was later arrested by police on suspicion of vehicular assault.

Charbonneau, of 1306 E. Montgomery, hit the youngsters as he drove west on Montgomery approaching Perry, according to police officer Harry Kennedy. The boys were hit near the southeast corner of the intersection.

Charbonneau was driving on the wrong side of the road when the accident occurred, police said. , DataTimes
