Man Again Accused Of Making Crank 911 Calls

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 54-year-old man was arrested Friday for making crank 911 calls.

Police said it’s Robert S. Bodey’s second arrest in as many weeks, and the fourth time they’ve had to deal with the fraudulent phone calls.

Police staked out a telephone booth near Bodey’s home on East Everett early Friday, said spokesman Dick Cottam. Emergency operators had received at least six prank calls that morning, Cottam said.

Officers watched Bodey enter the booth, make a call, and leave. A radio dispatcher told police that the call was made to the 911 center, Cottam said. Bodey was arrested and booked into jail on a charge of malicious mischief.

Last week, police twice went to Bodey’s house to give him a warning. After a third volley of calls, he was arrested, Cottam said. , DataTimes
