Mr. And Mrs. Van Thiel Spokane

Bob and Bernadine Van Thiel, Spokane, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering at the House of the Lord Retreat Center, Tumtum, Wash., on Aug. 2.

Hosts for the event will be their children and spouses: Greg and Dorothy Van Thiel, Wasilla, Alaska; Rita and Bob Vrtis, Ventura, Calif.; and Rachel and Will Pettit, Edwall, Wash.

The Van Thiels were married May 17, 1947, in Kenosha Wis. They have seven grandchildren.
