Over the years, all have highlighted the Lilac Festival Armed Forces Torchlight Parade.

Saturday night, the 59th Lilac Parade threaded its way through the streets of Spokane with more than 50 floats and dozens of marching bands, military units and drill teams.

That’s quite a departure from the 1938 parade, which featured just one float.
