Woman Suspected Of Smuggling Heroin

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane drug detectives working with a Western Washington task force arrested a woman suspected of smuggling heroin into the Inland Northwest, authorities said Friday.

Agents from the Spokane Regional Drug Task Force arrested Michelle Clifton in Western Washington on Thursday night and seized 15 ounces of black tar heroin.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $75,000 and likely were headed to Spokane, deputies said.

Clifton, 27, was driven to Spokane and booked into the county jail on a charge of possession of heroin with intent to deliver.

Agents from the Tahoma Drug Enforcement Team later raided a Pierce County house and arrested two people suspected of working with Clifton. , DataTimes
