Harvard graduate Ralph Horween, a Chicago Cardinals halfback who played under an assumed name to hide his profession from his mother and was the NFL’s oldest ex-player, died at his Albemarle County home near Charlottesville, Va. He was 100.

Driver Mike Fell, 32, died of head injuries after his midget car flipped and was struck by another racer during a Sunday night event at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis., track officials said.
