Pickled Pink

For some folks, being in a pickle is a good thing.

Linda Klesch of Veradale makes crisp garlic dills from her grandmother’s original crock recipe and sells them under the In a Pickle? label.

There’s also sweet-and-sour bread and butter pickles, a mild carrot-cucumber relish and spicy jalapeno pepper chunks - pickled cukes with a whole jalapeno in each jar.

Which one is best? Take your pickle.

Price: Around $5 to $9 for 9 to 32 ounces.

Available: In Spokane at Simply Northwest, Hallett Farms, Northwest Gourmet, Copper Colander, the Dill Pickle and In House Gourmet.
