Wildlife Director To Be In Spokane

Bern Shanks, Washington Fish and Wildlife Department director, will visit the Centennial Trail Thursday as part of Gov. Gary Locke’s “capital for a day” program in Spokane.

Shanks will be at the Mirabeau Park area to promote a nature-mapping project.

The director will be available to the public at a town hall meeting and dinner, 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m., at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt.
