Saluting Bush’s Legacy

About 40,000 people are expected at today’s dedication of the $80 million George Bush presidential library at Texas A&M University in College Station, some 85 miles northwest of Houston, where Bush, five years removed from the White House, now lives. Among the dignitaries will be President and Hillary Rodham Clinton, former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford and their wives, Nancy Reagan and Lady Bird Johnson. Also on hand will be more than 60 members of Bush’s family, ranging from infant grandchildren Georgette and Robert to uncle Lou and aunt Grace Walker, both in their 90s.
