ANALYSIS

Craig Whelihan has been named San Diego’s starting quarterback. The third-year QB has been on the inactive list for 34 of San Diego’s last 41 games. He has one career touchdown pass; Seattle’s Warren Moon seemingly has 8 billion. Advantage Seahawks. Big. Both defenses are respectable but Seattle’s offense has improved since beating the Chargers 26-22 in Week 4. The Seahawks defense is depleted by injury but should be able to handle Whelihan’s flings. Seattle wins by 9 with Whelihan at the controls. If Jim Everett plays for Chargers, Seahawks still take it by 6.
