Driver Surprises Man Who Broke Into Car

From Staff And Wire Reports

The owner of a 1986 Ford Tempo parked on the 100 block of South Wall found a man sitting in his car on Saturday morning, according to the Spokane Police department.

The driver’s side window was smashed, the car’s ignition had been punched and the man sitting in the car had some sort of tool in his hand. When asked, he denied trying to steal the vehicle, the car’s owner told police.

The man ran from the car’s owner and his two friends when confronted. He is described as white, 5-feet-5-inches tall, about 120 pounds and in his late teens.
