Last week’s question:

If you could pass a law, what would it be and why?

“If I was able to pass a law it would be that the Bible could be read in public schools if desired, or any other religions could be passed on through public school.” Matthew Richards, Centrum School 7th-grader.

“If I could pass a law it would probably be that anything that women do they would get as much money as men do.” Melanie Victor, Horizon Junior High 8th-grader.

“If I could pass a law it would be to change the smoking age to freshmen because so many students do it now, and it would save the cops a whole lot of time from arresting the students who do it.” Shannon Young, Ferris freshman

“The law I would like to pass is no sexual harassment in schools… to get a good education there should be no harassment.” John Mitchell, Spokane Falls Community College, 2nd year

“If I was to pass a law I would make P.E. a non-required class. Often people who don’t want to take the class are harassed when changing their clothes, and the people who like P.E. are never really harassed. Second of all, supervision steps are not fully taken to prevent harassment if it (P.E.) is required. I just wish something could be done about that.” Mark Lockwood, Garry Middle School 8th-grader.
