Airport Rape Suspect Surrenders In Hawaii

From Staff And Wire Reports

The man who allegedly raped a woman at the Portland airport in September has turned himself in to police in Hawaii.

Blake Theron Neal, 29, surrendered in Kauai over the weekend, the Port of Portland said Monday.

Port police are working with the Multnomah County district attorney’s office on extradition hearings to bring Neal back to Oregon.

Neal is charged with two counts of rape, two counts of sodomy and one count of kidnapping related to the Sept. 8 attack at Portland International Airport.

Police say the victim was loading bags into her car in the parking lot when a man carrying a knife approached her. The woman said the man raped her, drove her to another part of the airport and raped her again.
