Bye Helps UI Players Gain Health

During Idaho’s bye week last week, the Vandals said hello to the improved health of several key football players.

Senior quarterback Brian Brennan has returned to practice and to the starting job. He missed Idaho’s 24-21 loss to Eastern Washington nine days ago with turf toe and, to a lesser degree, a sprained ankle.

“He should be close to full speed,” said UI coach Chris Tormey, whose 4-5 Vandals visit New Mexico State on Saturday.

Running back Jerome Thomas also is back after a thigh injury sidelined him against EWU. Tormey wasn’t sure if Thomas would start, but, “Both Jerome and Anthony (Tenner) are going to play,” Tormey said.

Revised BSU tickets

Idaho is offering a limited number of $14 general-admission tickets for the Boise State game Nov. 23 in the Kibbie Dome. Previously only $18 reserved-seat tickets were available, but UI revised plans after an outcry from fans.

Family passes, good for two adults and up to three children high school age and under, are available for $30. Info: (208) 885-6466 or 1-888-8-UIDAHO.
