Chewelah Earns No. 1 Seed In Gnl

Chewelah emerged as the No. 1 seed after the Great Northern League tie-breaker decided the seedings for the 2A football quarterfinals. Pullman finished second and Medical Lake third.

Chewelah’s Jeremy Miller scored three touchdowns and a two-point conversion as the Cougars won three times in the double-elimination tie-breaker.

Chewelah will play host to East Valley-Yakima, Pullman entertains Quincy and Medical Lake is at Othello in firstround games Saturday. All are at 1 p.m.
