Valley Man Beaten In Home Intrusion

A man was bound, gagged and beaten during an armed robbery in the Spokane Valley on Sunday.

The man was awakened about 1:30 a.m. by the sound of someone pounding on the front door of his home in the 14000 block of East Eighth, Spokane County sheriff’s deputies said.

The man opened the door and was hit in the face with a handgun by the first of three intruders. The victim was hit again and knocked to the floor, deputies said.

Another intruder threatened to kill the victim before two men and a woman bound the victim’s ankles with tape and covered his mouth, deputies said. One shot was fired. No one was injured.

The intruders took a television and the victim’s four-door 1988 Isuzu Trooper with Idaho license plates, deputies said.

The victim told deputies the suspects are all white. The first man is described as 35, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and a large tattoo on his right upper arm. He was wearing a black Harley Davidson T-shirt and Levi 501 jeans.

The second man is described as 40, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130 pounds with blond hair. He was wearing a brownish-red flannel shirt, Levi 501 jeans and brown boots.

The woman is described as 20, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 140 pounds with blond hair, a black jacket, white shirt, Levi 501 jeans and black boots.
