Bonus points , Two impact players lost off last year’s team are point guard Jade Hyett, now playing in Australia, and foward Amy Saneholtz, now an assistant coach at Cal Poly-SLO. … Rhodes enters the final year of his long-term contract with 171-240 overall and 75-170 conference records. … New assistant Ehardt is a 1988 Idaho State graduate who was on the Brigham Young staff since 1995.

Flikkema is a 1995 Seattle Pacific assistant and served as an assistant there for two years.

Outlook

Once again, Stanford, ranked No. 3 in the AP preseason Top 25 poll, is the coaches’ and media’s top pick in the Pac-10 preseason polls. … The Cougs, picked last in both Pac-10 polls, could surprise some folks and finish in the middle of the pack, but healthy knees, wrists and attitudes are a must.
