Zone Change Rehearing Set

Kootenai County has scheduled the rehearing for the Mort Castleton zone change for Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. in meeting room one in the Kootenai County Administration Building.

The first hearing, which was held Oct. 29, may have been improperly noticed. Some of the people who had requested the county to notify them of the original hearing did not receive notices.

No action was taken at the first hearing, in which Kootenai County Commissioners had decided to schedule an appointment to see the land in question. Neighbors had voiced objections to the zone change and Castleton had defended his plans to build a storage facility for contractors on the land north of Hayden.
