Kristina McAuley’s 10 kills and five aces led Community Colleges of Spokane to a 15-6, 15-7, 15-7 non-conference volleyball win over visiting North Idaho on Tuesday.

JoEne Heimbigner added 38 assists and Cydny Edmunds 11 digs for the Sasquatch.

Men’s basketball

Larry Hughes scored 23 points and Ryan Luechtefeld added nine rebounds as Saint Louis defeated visiting NBC Thunder 69-54 in an exhibition.

Nico Harrison made 12 of 14 free throws and scored 20 for the Thunder, a touring team with several Spokane players, which is 3-3 against Division I schools.

Boys soccer

Hector Magana scored three goals in the first half to fuel Wahluke over Valley Christian 5-2 in a 1A/B playoff match at Othello.

Wahluke, of Mattawa, advances to a 6 p.m. Friday match against St. George’s (15-0) at Lampson Field in Kennewick. Sunnyside Christian and Northwest Christian (11-4-2) meet at 8.

Friday’s winners play at 7:30 Saturday night, also at Lampson, for a state semifinal berth.
