Croissant Pocket Convenient In A Rush

Rick Bonino Food Editor

Some mornings, you’re in too much of a hurry to even stop at a fast-food joint for a breakfast sandwich.

Enter the Egg, Sausage and Cheese Croissant Pocket from the Hot Pockets people, which only takes two or three minutes in the microwave. It got mixed reviews from our reader food panel, who liked the crust but weren’t so sure about the relatively tasteless filling.

Then again, when you’re in that big of a rush, who has time to complain?

Comments: “Tender, flaky crust. Rather bland, but would be good to eat on the road.” - Karen Buck

“The big globs of what I guess to be imitation scrambled eggs are not appealing at all. The cheese is stringy and sausage is almost non-existent - which was a blessing. The only good thing about it was the crispy crust. If this is breakfast, I’m glad I never eat breakfast!” - Jeannie Coffey
