Farmers & Merchants Bank Opens Branch On Se Blvd.

The new Farmers & Merchants Bank branch on Southeast Boulevard just south of 29th Avenue is open for business.

The 3,800-square-foot branch is one of five new branches opened by Farmers & Merchants this year and is part of the bank’s effort to make services more convenient.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new branch will be at 5:30 p.m. today.

Margie Anderson has been named manager of the branch, which will have five employees. The branch will provide a full range of services, including checking, savings, loans and real estate. A brokerage and trust writer are planned.

Twin drive-through lanes and a cash machine were included in the design.

The architect on the project was Ferman Pasold of Spokane, who used brick, slate and stained glass to create a warm decor consistent with the image Farmers & Merchants is trying to cultivate.

Farmers & Merchants has operated in Spokane County for nearly 91 years.
