Food Bank Needs Frozen Turkeys

The Spokane Food Bank needs help filling the Thanksgiving dinner tables of the poor.

The food bank estimates at least 3,000 frozen turkeys are needed. They will be distributed at emergency food outlets throughout Spokane County.

Turkeys must be in original packaging. The food bank also accepts grocery store certificates and cash donations. Donations should be received by Nov. 20.

The Spokane Food Bank, 1234 E. Front, serves more than 13,000 county residents each month. Almost half of those are children.
