Two Penitentiary Inmates Escape

From Staff And Wire Reports

Police and Washington State Penitentiary employees searched for two minimum-security inmates who walked away from an honor farm Wednesday.

A count of workers at 10:30 a.m. revealed the two had walked away from the prison’s heifer farm in a heavy fog, prison spokesman Mark Christensen said.

The two were serving sentences for drug dealing and are not considered dangerous, Christensen said.

They are Hipolito M. Gomez, 33, and Eduardo Quiroz-Romo, 28. Gomez is from Seattle, while Quiroz-Romo had a Pasco address.
