Sprague Mayor Takes The Lead By Two Votes

Sprague Mayor Evalyne Tabor is back in the driver’s seat after an election-night scare by write-in challenger Barbara Danner.

Tabor was down three votes on election night but now has a two-vote lead, 101-99, after counting of 17 absentee ballots.

About a dozen absentee ballots still haven’t been returned. But they would have to be postmarked Nov. 4 or earlier, and officials say it is unlikely any more will arrive before election results are certified Wednesday. No ballots have been received since Monday. , DataTimes
