Try Mixing Beer And Wine

What do beer drinkers and wine lovers have in common?

Not much, usually. But tonight’s Cork and Keg Festival offers something both crowds can agree on - the chance to sample a bunch of beer, wine and food.

Among the 100 wines poured are many Northwest favorites including Spokane fixtures such as Mountain Dome’s sparkling wine, Latah Creek impressive new reserve chardonnay and Arbor Crest’s ever-popular sauvignon blanc. There will also be selections from California and abroad.

Handcrafted brews featured include some seasonal stuff from Lang Creek Brewery (Glacier Pilot Winter Warmer) and cleverly dubbed suds such as the One-Eyed Raven Porter from Hollister Mountain Brewing Co. and Big Sky Brewing’s Moose Drool and Scape Goat.

Tickets are $20 in advance (get them at Huckleberrys, Vino! and Jimmy D’s Cafe), $25 at the door. The fun starts at 7 at the Doubletree Inn downtown.
