Informal Concert At Valley United Methodist Church

Spokane native Jim Moore will perform at 7 p.m. today at Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 10422 E. Main.

Moore travels the Northwest performing informal concerts featuring songs, stories, humor and personal comments of faith.

Tonight’s concert is free but donations will be accepted.

The harvest dinner that had been planned to precede the concert has been canceled.

Missionaries will speak

Pasadena Park Church of the Nazarene, 8822 E. Upriver Drive, will host missionaries Lee and Ann Rudeen at the 10:50 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

The Rudeens have been stationed in Argentina and will speak about their experiences there.

All are welcome to attend the special service.

Free pancake breakfast

Opportunity Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Pines Road, will host a free pancake breakfast on Sunday. Breakfast will be served from 9 to 10:45 a.m.

All are invited to attend.

Turkey bingo at church

St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 503 N. Walnut Road, will host games of turkey bingo Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.

Desserts and refreshments will be served. Bingo winners will walk away with turkeys. The doors will open at 12:15 p.m.

Co-sponsors of the event are the Knights of Columbus and the Altar Society.
